This project proposes a high-end rear extension to an existing property in Southbourne, designed tointroducea sophisticated open-plan living environment that enhances both the functionality andcharacter of the home. The extension redefines the rear of the property through a contemporaryarchitectural approach, creating a generous kitchen, dining, and lounge space that encourages socialliving while strengthening the connection to the garden and surrounding landscape.Externally, the design adopts a refined and modern material palette, combining vertical timbercladding with anthracite grey framed windows to create a clean and elegant appearance. A sleektiled roof and carefully detailed junctions reinforce the contemporary aesthetic, while the contrastbetween natural timber tones and darker framing elements gives the extension a strong architecturalidentity.
